Follow Friday (17)

Q: In light of 11.11.11 and Veteran’s Day tell us about your favorite solider and how he or she is saving the world. Fictional or real life.

A: This is a deep question.  There are so many people who have gone before us, paved the way for our freedoms and so many more who are still fighting the battles so that we can sit here, happy, comfortable, and contented in our homes and read, and blog, and watch TV, or text, or whatever it is that suits your fancy right now.  We all owe the very way we live to those men and women who have stood up on our behalf and preserved our rights.  So, they are all my favorites.  Every single one of you—THANK YOU.

  1. Agree with you completely. I don't know anyone personally, but so grateful for what all of vets and diggers have done and sacrificed for us :)

  2. I agree with you, there is no way I would go in the military myself so I am so thankful for those who VOLUNTEER to go and serve our country

  6. If it hadn't been for my grandpa and people like him, Finland might be under russia rule... And as much as I want wars to come to an end, I'm grateful for what they sacrificed during a really turbulent times.

  10. Hi! New follower.

Very good answer. At first, with mine, I was going to go for Napoleon for all he did to improve the situation in France as even though he did a lot of bad, he also did a lot of good. But then I thought it might be a bit too controversial.

    Check out my FF here.
